Three reasons.

In conversations with admissions consultants and program alumni, the same three answers come up — and each compounds across the 12-month season into a coherent application narrative.

01 · Admissions

A credential admissions notice.

A 12-month sustained engagement reads differently from a one-week summer program. Admissions officers know which is which.

02 · Network

5,000+ chapters worldwide.

HOSA alumni occupy positions across every major US, UK, and Canadian healthcare track. The 50th ILC in June 2026 is the largest single gathering of future health professionals.

FAQ

Questions answered.

How is iHOSA different from US HOSA?

iHOSA (SKT-iHOSA) is HOSA’s localized China program operated by SKT with mentorship from Hanlin Education. It uses a streamlined three-track structure (ATC, CCE, BCE) tailored for Chinese senior-secondary students. The US HOSA program offers 50+ competitive events; iHOSA is built specifically for students in mainland China.

Which division should I register for?

Division I is for grades 9–10 and Division II for grades 11–12. Both divisions share the same season timeline and qualify for the same global stage, but compete and are recognized separately.

What are the language requirements?

All program materials, assessments, and the global stage operate in English. Recommended minimum: TOEFL 80+ or IELTS 6.0+. Hanlin Education provides language coaching for HOSA participants.

Which track should I choose: ATC, CCE, or BCE?

ATC for biomedical sciences applicants who prefer exam-style assessment. CCE for pre-med / pre-dent / pre-nursing applicants. BCE is project-based — best for public health and applied problem-solving applicants.

Will HOSA participation help with university applications?

HOSA is recognized by US, UK, and Canadian admissions offices — particularly in pre-med, pre-dent, pre-nursing, public health, and biotechnology pathways. Strong performance provides concrete material for personal statements, supplemental essays, and recommendation letter conversations.

How do I register?

All registration goes through the official Webloom platform. Registration for the 2026 season opened June 7, 2025 and closes April 20, 2026.
