This Privacy Policy is provided in accordance with the People’s Republic of China Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), the Cybersecurity Law, and the Data Security Law. By using this site you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy.

1 · Who we are

en.hosa.org.cn is an editorial guide site for HOSA — Future Health Professionals, operated as an independent information service for Chinese students. We are not the official HOSA organization (that is hosa.org) and we are not the SKT-iHOSA China program operator (that is hosa.org.cn operated by SKT). Our role is editorial — making the HOSA program understandable and actionable for Chinese senior-secondary students and their families.

2 · What information we collect

We collect two categories of information:

1. Automatically-collected technical data: server access logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamp, page accessed). This data is retained for 6 months for security and operations.
2. Voluntarily-provided contact data: when you initiate contact via WhatsApp (scan QR), you provide your WhatsApp ID. We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, ID numbers, or financial information through this site.

We do not use third-party analytics that profile individual visitors (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel). Cloudflare CDN access logs are retained per Cloudflare’s policy and used only for security & performance.

3 · How we use information

Information collected is used only for:

• Site operations (delivering pages, security monitoring, debugging)
• Direct advisor communication initiated by you via WhatsApp
• Compliance with Chinese law (e.g. preserving access logs as legally required)

We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share contact information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use the contact information for advertising or third-party promotional outreach.

4 · Cookies & tracking

This site uses a minimal set of session cookies necessary for the WordPress content management system to operate. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, retargeting pixels, or browser fingerprinting. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — most site functionality will continue to work, with the exception of certain interactive elements.

5 · Your rights under PIPL

Under the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of personal information we hold about you
• Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Delete — request deletion of personal information we hold (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Object — object to specific processing of your personal information
• Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for processing where consent was the basis

6 · Cross-border data

Our hosting infrastructure is located in mainland China. Server logs and operational data remain within China. We do not export Chinese user data abroad. When you click external links (hosa.org, hosa.org.cn) you leave our site and become subject to the destination site’s privacy policy.

7 · Minors

This site is intended for senior-secondary students (grades 9–12, typically ages 14–18) and their parents/guardians. For students under 14, parental consent is required before initiating WhatsApp contact. We do not knowingly collect or process personal information of children under 14 without verified parental consent.

8 · Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be marked with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
